Public administration and P Guide - Resources and Review

Produced as part of the Canadian Governments Policy Research Initiative, this is a collection of links to organisations involved in public policy related research in Canada. Organisations are listed by category, including Federal Government Research, Academic Research, Provincial and Territorial Government, and Transnational and International Governments. Information is available in English or French.
 
An online catalogue containing document references, together with descriptions of the documents and descriptions of the classes in which they are categorised. Also includes a selection of research information leaflets arranged alphabetically by subject, a catalogue pilot of policy records of 20th
century British Government departments, and reprographic information providing details of document copying services.
 
Library founded in 1896 by public subscription. As well as being the working library of the London School of Economics, it serves as a national collection of material for research, with around one million bound volumes and 28,000 journals. It is one of the largest libraries in the world devoted exclusively to the social sciences, with particular strength in economics, government and politics, international, political, economic and social history, international law, international relations, social policy and public administration, sociology, and statistics (economic, political, and social).

Through research, advocacy, and public education, the Project on Government Secrecy works to challenge excessive government secrecy and to promote public oversight. The Project supports journalists and fosters enhanced public awareness of secrecy issues through publication of the Secrecy and Government Bulletin.
 
Presents the results of a survey conducted in over 100 countries as an index of perceived worldwide corruption. Also offers a background paper on the methodology used and a list of the sources consulted. Available in English, German, French, Spanish and Russian.

Repository of the national archives for England, Wales and the United Kingdom. It was founded by act of Parliament in 1838 to bring together and preserve the records of central government and the courts of law, and to make them available to all who wish to consult them. The records, beginning with the Domesday Book (1086), span an unbroken period from the 11th century to the present day.
 
Official information from the body responsible for implementing the Data Protection Act 1998 and influencing national and international thinking on privacy and personal information. Includes data protection guidelines, guidance notes, news, and specialist papers.
